Leventhorpe Vineyard
Established in 1985, Leventhorpe re-introduced commercial wine-growing to Yorkshire and the 5 acre vineyard is situated just outside of Leeds.
All the wines produced at Leventhorpe are made from grapes grown within the five acre vineyard in their purpose built winery. The wines are matured in the bottle for at least 2 years before release.
The wines go through a system of independent testing and tasting, for quality and provenance, to obtain PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status. This means Leventhorpe can call their wines “Yorkshire Wines” or “Yorkshire Varietal Wines”.
